Darien’s Blessing of the Fleet Festival

The 57th Annual Blessing of the Fleet Festival, is set to take place from April 11 to April
13, 2025, along the historic Darien waterfront.This cherished tradition honors Darien’s vibrant
fishing industry and brings together
the community for a weekend filled
with activities and entertainment.
The festival attracts over 12,000
attendees during the 3-day event and
offers something for everyone.
Event highlights include the
Shrimp Boat Blessing, Sunday at
1pm, witness this heart warm ing
marine parade and ceremony as
shrimp boat captains receive prayers
for a safe and prosperous season.
Enjoy nightly music performances
by talented artists in the waterfront
park, including headliners Saltwater
Gypseas, Friday Night and the Lydia Simonds Band, Saturday Night. Stay late Saturday night
for the Fireworks show by Southern Sky Fireworks.
Savor fresh, local seafood and classic Southern flavors from a variety of food vendors.
Explore unique handmade goods and local artistry in the vendor village. Kick off the weekend
with a fun and energizing 5K and Fun run hosted by the YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Saturday at
7am. Join in the street parade Saturday at 10am, hosted by the Darien Lions Club. Experience
fun games and entertainment for the little ones.
Come celebrate with us! Entry fees are $5 for Friday, $10 for Saturday, Sunday is
