Enjoy Fall Camellia Blossoms & Porcelains at
                          Massee Lane Gardens

        Enjoy the change of season with a stroll in Massee Lane Gardens’ thirty acres of specialty
      gardens.  Camellias  begin  blooming  in  the  fall  with  the  first  sign  of  cooler  evenings.  New
      varieties blooming almost every day from September
      through April. In addition to its designation as an
      International  Garden of Excellence,  Massee Lane
      Gardens is the headquarters of the American Camellia
      Society, and home to one of the finest collections of
      camellia plants in the United States.
        Brick walkways guide guests through nine acres
      of colorful camellias blooming beneath pine trees.
      Guests can enjoy more delicate camellia varieties in a
      show greenhouse and see the diversity and smell the
      scents of more uncommon camellias in the species
      garden. The camellia collection is complimented by
      a rose garden, a Japanese garden, a children’s garden, and an environmental garden with a pool
      and asphalt walking track.
        Two museum galleries showcase an exquisite collection of porcelain sculptures with many
      one-of-a-kind nature-themed pieces. The Edward Marshall Boehm collection is the largest on
      public display in the United States and features nearly all of his camellia blossom sculptures.
      There are also Cybis, Connoisseur and Bronn pieces.
        Groups of ten or more can make reservations for professionally guided tours and boxed
                  lunches. The Festival of Camellias kicks off in late January and extends through
                  the entire month of February, with activities for children and workshops on
                  gardening. Don’t miss our expanded gift shop and nature-themed toys for
